Obituary of Concetta F Smrekar

Concetta “Connie” Smrekar, 99 of Jamestown, NY passed away June 29, 2019 at Lutheran Retirement Home. She was born November 5, 1919 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of Carmello and Angelina Vitanza.

 Connie married her love Frank J. Smrekar Sr. August 5, 1946. They were wed 42 years until his passing on January 10, 1988. She worked at Veneer and Plywood for 25 years. Connie was a communicant of St. James RCC.

 Connie enjoyed Bowling, Traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family.

 Connie is survived by her daughters, Carlene Brown of Sun City Center, FL and Susan Dreher of Jamestown, NY, her grandson, Frank “Trey” Smrekar Jr. and his wife Lisa, her great grandchildren, Ethan and Lola Smrekar both of Jamestown, NY, her brothers, Samuel Vitanza and his wife Joyce of Jamestown, NY and Sebastian Vitanza and his wife Jane of WV,  her nieces Karla Demarco of WV and Janice Perry of VA, and her nephew, Steve Kennedy of NYC, NY.

 Connie is preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Smrekar Sr. and her son, Frank J. Smrekar Jr.

 Visitation will be held Sunday July 7, 2019 from 1-4pm at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

 A Funeral Service will be held Monday 10am at the Funeral Home with Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
