Carlene, Sue, Trey, Uncle Sam and Aunt Joyce, and other family members, we have such precious memories of the week we spent in Jamestown with the Smrekar family for Jack and Jennie's wedding! I can still taste some of the delicious food Connie cooked for us. Our hearts go out to you- regardless of her age and infirmaties, she was still Ma, Grandma, sister, and beloved aunt and will be missed. You are all in our prayers for peace and comfort with much love!

Aunt Connie was a tremendous lady, of limitless kindness and tremendous love and strength. She never shied away from taking on the responsibilities in caring for her brother and sisters during very difficult times of illness and never uttered any regrets taking on such responsibilities. Aunt Connie and Franks home was always open to all and I have such memorable times as a child, including those spent as an adult with my young family spending so much time with the Smrekar’s at her home, or that of my parents. Sue and Carlene it is hard not to be sadden by your Mom’s passing even though she lived a long life. She was the oldest Matriarch of the Vitanza family, and the world seems just a little dimmer today with her passing. Jennie and I (“Jackie”) will take great comfort in being able to have had your Mom in our lives, and will cherish the countless memories we all hold together. I hope you will be comforted by the love Aunt Connie had for you and the love you shared with her. She is now resting with the Angels, and all those loved ones who have gone before.
Jack and Jennie

Aunt Connie was always such a joy to be around. So many of my childhood memories involve her especially the holidays. Always together with everyone with lots of laughing and hollering! Cook outs, parties, holidays, Friday night dinners out, or just go up and stop at Aunt Connie’s house for a minute. She always had a big smile on her face. Dancing around and laughing with us. The memories of the yearly fig cookie baking days with her and my Grandma. I was honored to have been able to help them for a few years and it is something I will never forget. Dear lord the fighting they did! Lol. “Now Angie no that is too much”. “Connie it is not, you don’t know what your talking about” the back and forth they did. I learned a lot from them both. She was just a wonderful woman and I feel privileged to have been loved by her. I am sad that she is not with us anymore but I know she was ready and she now is with Uncle Frank and Frankie. Thinking of you Susie, Carlene, Trey, Uncle Sam. I wish I could be there in person but I am in spirit. Love you Aunt Connie
Love
Janelle
