Grandma "Jay" was an extraordinary Foster Grandma who touched the lives of so many children during her 18-plus years with the program. Then she went on to volunteer with RSVP offering encouragement and love to clients at Chautauqua Adult Day Care. She certainly was "spunky" and eager to help others.

I met Jay at a Bible Study I was in years ago. I also remember seeing her volunteering at Headstart and I believe there was an article in the paper about her being honored for her years as a foster grandparent there. I especially remember her sitting close to the front of the church for Saturday Mass every week for many years and I have missed seeing her recently. My sympathies to her family. Growing up Aunt Jay was a very special person in my life, always there to lend a hand. She had strong faith as a dedicated lifelong member of St. James Church. Rest in peace Aunt Jay. You will be greatly missed.
