Ella L. Atkins, 90, of Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing, died at 2:55 a.m. Thursday (February 5, 2015) in the nursing facility.
She was born in Jamestown on August 31, 1924 the daughter of Mabel Moon. Ella was employed as a clerk for Seven Eleven in Boyton, Fl. and as a nurses aid in St. Petersburg, Fl.
She enjoyed her homes in New York, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Florida. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by three sons, Patrick I. (Roseann) Casselman, Lakewood, Douglas G. (Julia) Casselman, Sherman and Terald Casselman and by two daughters, Brenda L. Phillips, Jamestown and Vicki (Marshall) Spence, Bemus Point and an adopted daughter, Theresa Koch Atkins Mason, Clermont, Fl., seventeen grandchildren and thirty eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Irwin Vincent Casselman and her second husband, Norman Atkins and by a daughter, Donna M. Ostrander.
A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Lowville Cemetery, Wattsburg, Pa.Visitation will not be observed.
