Dottie Melquist Blood, 70, of Jamestown, died Tuesday (August 2, 2016) at her residence.
She was born in Jamestown on April 22, 1946 the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy Petri Melquist.
Dottie loved her cats and would take in any strays.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Glenn) Roberts, Jamestown and a son, Robert Blood, Scio, N.Y., two grandchildren, Heather and Brent Roberts, Jamestown, a sister, Susan R. (Barry) Kibbey, Pittsfield, Pa.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Onalee Ann Melquist Lang.
A private memorial service will be held in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Visitation will not be observed.
Memorials may be made to any animal shelter.
