Obituary of Duane R. Crawford

Duane R. Crawford, 73, of Jamestown, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016. He was born in Erie, PA on August 5, 1942 the son of Ralph and Violet (Stewart) Crawford. Duane married Patricia Ann Crawford on October 14, 1961 in Jamestown. She passed away February 18, 2014. Duane drove truck for Transport America for 35 years and retired in 2010. He also drove for Regal Services in Ripley, NY. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall – East Congregation. He is survived by his sons: Duane (Tammy) Crawford, Bruce (Mary) Crawford, Sr. and Jeffery Crawford all of Jamestown; daughters: Gwendolyn Mathews, Jamestown and Alma Crawford, Reynoldsville, PA; 24 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter; brother, William (Joyce) Crawford, Hubbard, OH; and his sister, Melissa Schuppenhauer, Jamestown. Besides his wife Duane was predeceased by his grandson, Jacob Lee Crawford in 2012, and two brothers, Paul Lawrence and Walter Crawford. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the East Congregation Kingdom Hall. John Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
