Mary Foti Pinzone, 95, of Jamestown, died Friday (July 15, 2016) in Mercy Hospital, Buffalo, N.Y.
She was born in Jamestown on March 9, 1921 the daughter of Anthony and Mary Armeli Foti.
Mary had been employed at the former National Worsted Mills and was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society.
She was very involved with the annual St. Joseph Table and the summer festival at the church.
Mary loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She was known to put every one first. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Florence (Ross) Cali, Lakewood and Francella (Fran) Gordon, Jamestown, four grandchildren, Tracy (Michael) Hostetler, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Denise (Jon) DeAngelo, Jamestown, Tiffany (Rob) Veres, Erie, Pa. and Michael (Erica) Cali, Jakarta, Indonesia, nine grandchildren, Laurynn Dillingham, Cleveland, Oh., JonMichael DeAngelo, Siena DeAngelo, Jamestown,
Elena Veres and Cecelia Veres, Erie, Pa., Aliana & Chiara Cali, Jakarta, Indonesia, Alexander and Katherine Hostetler, Kalamazo, Michigan., two sisters, Josephine LoPresto, California and JoAnne (Jim) DeSantis, Fl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Pinzone whom she married on September 21, 1946 in St. James catholic Church and who died in 1985, three brothers, Anthony, Michael & Sam Foti and six sisters, Adeline “Addie” Johnson, Bessie Shreve, Grace Liuzzo, Virginia Wiser, Sara “Sally” Manera and Angie McClure.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
A Christian Wake Service will be held at 8:45 p.m.
