Obituary of Beverly D. Martin

Beverly D. Martin, age 74, of Jamestown, NY passed away Sunday June 5, 2016 at the Lutheran Retirement Home. She was born on July 5th 1941 in Jamestown N.Y. Daughter of the late John E. Bush Sr. and the late L. Helen Sigular Bush. She was a 1959 graduate of Jamestown High School, after graduation she was employed by Murphy's Department Store and Jefferson Manor Motel. She worked 10 years for the Jamestown Nursing Home. She also worked many years taking care of the elderly in their homes until her retirement in 1989. Beverly is survived by her children: Elwood L. Martin, Jr. of Falconer, N.Y., Sheri L. Martin, Douglas E. Martin and Scott A. Martin all of Jamestown, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; her sister, Suzanne J. Harrier of Jamestown; her brother, John E. Bush III of Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her ex-husband, Elwood L. Martin, Sr., two brothers: Emory Bush and Richard Bush, and four sisters: Dolorce Lampman, Loretta Miller, Janice Bush and Helen Dean, her grandson, Steven E. Rodoski Jr. and her granddaughter, Darby E. Martin. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday June 10, 2016 at the Christ Chapel in the Lutheran Retirement Home. Pastor Daniel Rumfelt will officiate. Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1:00. A private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
