Obituary of Ida Martha Stanzione Vicario

Ida Martha Stanzione Vicario Ida Martha Stanzione Vicario of Athens, Ga., formerly of Jamestown, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Naples, Italy, Oct. 27, 1926, the daughter of Giuseppe and Martha Stanzione. She immigrated to the United States in 1947, and while living in Jamestown, she was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She had many friends and was admired for her loving smile, warm hospitality and dedication to family and friends. Ida is survived by her loving children and grandchildren including two sons: Salvator (Roslyn) Vicario, Louisville, Ky., and Joseph Jr. (Mary) Vicario, McKinney, Texas; a daughter, Ann Marie (Johnny), Athens, Ga.; her grandchildren: Marissa Vicario, New York City, Yvonne and Kara Vicario, Louisville, Ky., Joseph III and Alayna Vicario, McKinney, Texas; one great-grandchild, Ciana Marie; a niece, Ann (Ron) Frushone, Jamestown; a nephew, Thomas Vicario, Santa Fe, N.M.; as well as several nieces and nephews in Italy. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Vicario; an infant son; seven brothers and sisters; and her companion, Anthony Conti. We are all saddened to have you leave us but know you are at peace with God and reunited with family and friends in heaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, Pastor, will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Friends will be received on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services.
