Arthur L. Benson
Arthur L. Benson, 80, of Covenant Manor, Jamestown, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday (December 4, 2012) at his residence.
He was born in Jamestown on January 12, 1932 the son of Walter D. and Martha E. Danielson Benson. Art was employed at AMSCO for twenty three years and served with the US Army from 1951 to 1952. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #2145.
He is survived by a daughter, Emily (Joseph) Koss, Lockport, N.Y., three step-grandchildren, Joe and Matthew Koss, New York City and Aurora Koss, Lockport, a step-great-grandson, Tyler Koss, Lockport and a brother, Paul G. Benson, Randolph, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lundberg Benson, whom he married on February 14, 1964 in Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church and who died on March 4, 1999.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Rev. Donald Ray, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
