Obituary of Josephine M. Foti

Josephine M. Foti, 97, of 148 Maple St., Jamestown, died at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 3, 2013) in WCA Hospital. She was born in Jamestown on Jan. 8, 1916, the daughter of Sebastian and Louise Bellitto Foti. Josephine was employed at the former National Worsted Mills and was also employed at the former Ames Department Store as the houseware manager, retiring in 1988. She was also a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Josephine is survived by three nieces: Louise Pillittieri and Mary Ann Foti, of Jamestown, and Judy Tedesco, of Lockport, N.Y.; two nephews: James (Lori) Foti and Joseph (Michelle) Foti, of Jamestown; and her great-nephews and nieces: Carl (Polly) Pillittieri, Peter (Heidi) Pillittieri, Tina (Andrew) Sandstrom, Alex Foti, Kate Foti, Kristin Foti and Tim Foti, all of Jamestown, Stacey (Joseph) Smaritano, of Orchard Park, Scott (Karen) Foti, of West Seneca, Michael (Danielle) Tedesco, Buffalo, Joseph and Theresa Tedesco, of Lockport, NY. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Anthony S., Joseph A. and Sebastian J. Foti; a sister, Louise M. Foti; and a nephew, Sebastian (Busty) Foti. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. John L. Kuhlmann will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
