Obituary of Patricia A. Pratt

Patricia A. Pratt, 83, of Jamestown, New York passed peacefully on Friday March 18, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Jamestown, NY on October 31, 1932 to the late Louis and Mary (Welsh) Bruno. Patricia married Willis H. Pratt on February 7, 1959, in Jamestown, NY. Patricia was a secretary for Jamestown Public Schools for over forty years. Prior to that she worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Jamestown. Patricia enjoyed knitting, reading, and most of all spending time with her family. Patricia is survived by her husband Willis H. Pratt; her daughter Lisa (Michael) Corbin of Warren, PA; nieces, Sharon (Douglas) Bergstrom and Kathleen McMurray; and nephew Daniel McMurray all of Jamestown; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her sister, Beverly McMurray. A​ Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Apostles (Saint John) Church in Jamestown ​at 10:00am, Tuesday, March 22, 2016. The Rev. Dennis Mende, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. She knew my family was in Florida winters so she was especially kind to me before my son's birth in February by organizing an in school baby shower for me and also by giving several Christmas gifts from Betty Bennett and her when he was a toddler.
