Obituary of Lorraine LaMarco Valvo

Lorraine LaMarco Valvo, 84, of 16 Collins Ave., Jamestown, died at 10:25 a.m. Monday (February 24, 2014) in Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing.
She was born in Buffalo on October 28, 1929 the daughter of Frederick and Jennie Milioto LaMarco.
She was employed at Cummins Engine in the accounting department for seventeen years and retired in 1999. She previously worked at McKellor Drugs and was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
When Lorraine wasn’t working, she enjoyed looking after her grandchildren, which was quite often. Spending time with her cousin Dolly Vicario meant as much to her as spending it with the sister neither ever had. Lorraine and her husband took numerous trips to Las Vegas with Dolly and her husband. Never one to take numerous trips but the Vegas trips were memories in her later years that kept her going.
At home it would not have been home without her beloved dog “Penny” and Sassy and Molly before her. They were always at her side and they gave her unconditional love.
She is survived by her husband, Angelo Valvo whom she married on November 20, 1948 in St. James Cathjolic Church, three daughters, JoAnn (Richard) Farrell, Jamestown, Judy Barone, Erie, Pa. and Jackie (Greg) Molisani, Lockport, N.Y., five grandchildren,
Anthony C. (Susan) Barone II, Jamestown, Jennifer Barone, Orlando, Fl., Nathaniel L. (Megan Bailey) Barone III, Williamsville, N.Y., Michael G. Molisani, Boston, Ma. and Lauren E. Molisani, Lockport, N.Y., three great grandchildren, Nathaniel L. Barone IV, Anthony C. Barone III and Liliana G. Barone, Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Lucy Milioto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Inurnment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
Visitation will not be observed. The Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation services is in charge of arrangements.
