Obituary of Frank M. Guiffrida

Frank M. Guiffrida, 61, of 7 Benson St., Jamestown, died at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday (February 18, 2014) in the WCA Hospital, after a year long battle with cancer. He was born in Jamestown on July 14, 1952 the son of Nancy Santo Guiffrida, with whom he made his home and the late Phillip Guiffrida, who died on March 6, 1999. Frank was employed as a dealer in Las Vegas for several years and most recently he was in telemarketing. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and had volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He loved his family and was kind, respectful and generous to everyone. He is now resting in heaven with his father. Besides his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Mary Anne (Ray) Genco, Jamestown and Nanette (Joe) Guiffrida-Kunkle, Kona, Hawaii and by four nephews, Nickolas and Phillip Genco, Jamestown, Raymond Genco, Boston, Ma., Jesse Guiffrida-Turpin, Kona, Hawaii. a niece, Kyla Guiffrida-Turpin, Kona, Hawaii, his aunt and godmother, Toni Cusimano, Jamestown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received today from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:45 p.m..
