Walter M. Hyde, 73, of Findley Lake, NY passed into the hands of the Lord on September 22, 2015. His partner of 18 years, Catherine Summerville, was by his side. Walter was born March 9th, 1942 in Camden, NJ to the late Louis and Dorothy Hyde.
Walter went to Military School and enlisted in the Army. He was in the 82nd Airborne Division. After leaving the Service, he became a well known chef who traveled the world cooking for many famous people and working in well renowned restaurants. Walter loved life to the fullest but his greatest joys were his flower gardens, entertaining his many friends and family, and football.
Walter leaves behind an Aunt Margie (David) Heebner of Mt. Laurel, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be greatly missed by Catherine's family Melissa (Gordon) Carris and family of Sherman, NY, Tom (Jackie) Summerville and family of Mayville, NY, and Mary Faye Teemley of Ripley, NY.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations may be made to Hospice of Chautauqua County or to the Charity of one's choice.
