Obituary of Barbara Zimmer Cusimano

Barbara Zimmer Cusimano, 71, of Frewsburg, NY, passed at 12:55 a.m. Thursday (July 16, 2015) in the WCA Hospital. She was born in Jamestown on October 5, 1943 the daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy Scott Zimmer. Barbara is survived by her husband, Angelo Cusimano Jr. whom she married on June 17, 1967 at the First Methodist Church, a son, Andrew (Leslie) Cusimano, Frewsburg and a daughter, Corrie (Pedro) Santana, Plano, TX., three grandchildren, Caitlin Cusimano, Myrtle Beach, S.C., twins, Karolena Rose and Kaylee Iris Santana, Plano, TX., two step-grandchildren, Adriel and Gabriella Santana, Plano Tx., and a brother, Bradley (Patty) Zimmer, West Ellicott. She was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Zimmer. Barb was a devoted wife and mother who lived for her family. She committed her life to raising her children and sharing time with her husband. Many fond memories were made spending summers at Camp Chautauqua and winter snowmobile outings around the county. She remained a spiritual and moral example to her adult children and grandchildren throughout the course of her life. A day never passed without words of advice, praise, or love from Mom. Returning to work after her children were grown, she put her heart and soul into her career with Aspire where she leaves behind many dear friends. Barbara was an Administrative Assistant for Aspire of WNY for over twenty years, retiring in 2010 to spend more time with her husband and grandchildren.
