Obituary of Dolores Christofferson Girts

Dolores “Dody”Christofferson Girts, 75, of Matson Road, Jamestown, died at 10:13 p.m. Thursday (June 11, 2015) in Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was born in Jamestown on July 22, 1939 the daughter of Gordon and Astrid Landquist Christofferson. Dolores was employed at Jamestown Stamp Co. for twenty years and formerly was employed at Saegar Computer Type and Maddox Table. She was a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, James Girts whom she married on September 16, 1961 at Epworth United Methodist Church, a daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Raab, Jamestown, a brother, Roger Christofferson, Florida. She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Erickson and a sister in law, Shirley Munson Christofferson and a brother in law, Allen Erickson. A celebration of life service will be held at a day and time to be announced at the Fluvanna Fire Department. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, N.Y. 14701 Visitation will not be observed.
