Angelo Sena, age 92, of 340 Camp Street, Jamestown, NY and Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on August 1, 2024 at Warren Manor Nursing Home. He was born on November 11, 1931 in Jamestown, to Dick and Mary DiPuma Sena.
Angelo was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Besides his parents, Angelo was preceded in death by his wife MaryAnn Sena, his brother Joseph Sena and his sister Mary Bordenga. Angelo was previously married to Eleanor Wilcox, who also predeceased him.
Angelo is survived by his three children, Joseph (Ling) Sena, David (Wendy) Sena and Ronald (Missy) Sena, three stepchildren Jim (Julia) McIntire, Dave McIntire, and Steve (Lori) McIntire. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michael Sena, Matthew Sena, Betsy Nickerson, Amber Allen, Angela Sena, Tessa Sena, and Ashley Sena and nine great grandchildren. Additionally, he leaves behind his siblings, Carrie Prinzi and Samuel (Vicky) Sena Sr., and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Angelo graduated from Jamestown High School. After graduation he owned Sena’s Keystone service station, worked for V&N Construction, Jamestown General Hospital, and as an independent contractor in the building trades profession. Angelo was known for his hard work, dedication to quality, and the positive impact he had on his colleagues and the community.
Outside of his professional life, Angelo had a passion as a sportsman and particularly loved hunting and fishing and traveled on many big game hunts to Canada and the western states. He was also an avid beekeeper, enjoyed gardening and his many fruit trees and was a wonderful Italian cook. He also enjoyed going for ice cream with his granddaughter Angela, playing his harmonica and listening to bluegrass music.
Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetary in Jamestown and will be announced at a later date.
Angelo Sena will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to others will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
