Obituary of Joseph F Guiffrida

Joseph F Guiffrida. 91 of Jamestown, formally of Wilcox, PA passed away on August 24, 2023. He was born February 2, 1932 in Jamestown a son of Frank and Bessie Triscari Guiffrida. Joe proudly served in the United States Navy from 1948-1952 and the United States Army from 1952-1954. After his honorable discharge Joe worked for Gahring Optical in Warren, PA as an Optician. He enjoyed bow hunting and playing cards. Joe was a true gentleman with a kind heart. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke. He will be deeply missed. Joe is survived by his daughters, JoDee Nearing of Johnsonburg, PA and Lisa Dwyer and her companion Ron Stahli of Ridgeway, PA, his former son in laws, John Dwyer and Ray Nearing, his grandchildren, Amy (Dean), Brandee (Joe), Dylan (Amanda), and Danie Jo (Steven), his great grandchildren, Noah, Sofiya, Joey, Jimmy, Jake, Kasey, Jackson, Trenton and a soon to be great grandson arriving in December, a great, great grandchild, Piper, his brother, George Guiffrida, his sisters, Sarah Sunberg , Ida Griffin and Caroline Strozzo. His caregiver and niece, Mary Anne, and her husband Ray Genco. In addition to those names, there are many other loving family and friends he is survived by including the staff at Heritage Park. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Phillip and Louis Guiffrida and his loving ex-wife Donna Guiffrida. Services will be private.
