Philip L. McIntyre,74 of Niobe, NY passed away peacefully on his birthday May 19, 2023 at home with his wife Charlayne by his side.
Born May 19, 1949 in Jamestown, NY the son of the late Myron and Martha Williams McIntyre.
Surviving is his wife Charlayne Finnerty McIntyre, whom he married December 25, 1983; and his beloved children; Charisse M. Mitchell of Niobe, NY, Thomas (Dixie) Gilmore of Mayville, NY, Julie (Jason) Carlson of Lakewood, NY, Elizabeth (Matthew) Sorvelli of Russell, PA, and Mary Starkweather of Jamestown, NY; grandchildren; Alex Dibble, Darren Mitchell, Philip Starkweather, Brandin Sholin, Anthony Sorvelli, Nicholas and Jacob Gilmore, and Isabella and Stella Carlson as well as great grandchildren; brother of Milton (Joan) McIntyre.
Besides his parents, Philip was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Jean Swanson.
Philip graduated from Brocton High School and received a degree at Jamestown Community College as well as a number of other colleges. He taught antiques at Penn State University and was an Antique Appraiser at Edinboro State University with the Antique Roadshow. He attended Fredonia State University for law. Philip "Phil" owned and operated McIntyre's Antiques & Gifts in Warren, PA and McIntyre Auction Service in Niobe, NY. He was employed by Cabot Oil & Gas as landman and liaison. Founder of the well-known band Dallas as professional lead singer/guitarist for 30 years.
Philip was a member of Holy Apostles Parish in Jamestown, NY. He was the webmaster for the church website for 18 years.
Many were blessed to have him in their lives. Anyone who knew Phil knew his intellect and strong work ethic. From renovating and building major projects at home over the years to sharing and enjoying his passion of playing music with his children and grandchildren to antiquing and shopping excursions with his love, Charlayne. He truly loved and was dedicated to his family. He will be deeply missed.

A private mass will be held on Thursday May 25, 2023 10Am at St. Peter & Paul RC Church in Jamestown, NY.
