Obituary of Emily A Fields

Emily Ann Fields (Ross), “Miss Em” 53, of Jamestown NY, went to the arms of the lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 after suffering a brief terminal illness. She was born June 11, 1969 to Raymond Ross Sr, and JoAnn Porterfield, both of Jamestown NY. She was married to Lonnie Fields, and stayed hand in hand with him for 26 years. Besides her parents and husband, she is survived by her immediate children, Shawnette Williamson (29) Ashley Williamson (31) and James Williamson Jr (33) all of Jamestown; included are her step children Zackiel, Lonnie, Shanitha, Eyugene, and Tiara Fields. Also surviving are her brothers, Rick, Elwood, Mark, Raymond Jr, and David Ross. Her sisters, Faith Smith, Christina Davila, and Audrey Decker. All of her beautiful grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins will never be forgotten. She is proceeded in death by her step mother, Wanda Bush, her sister-in-law, Carolyn Ross, and her cousin Bobby Johnson. Emily was a very loving, compassionate, and selfless person. She was a stay-at-home mother all of her life and spent majority of her free time in the kitchen and posting pictures of all the beautiful meals she would make. Her hands were gifted when it came to cooking, and her heart was made of gold. She was never alone. Her best friend was her grandson, Jakiyah Williamson, whom she would babysit on the regular, and her family and friends that would always keep her company with their weekly “meetings” and daily round the clock video chats. If love could have saved Emily, she would have lived forever. She will forever be remembered as someone who was always there for everyone when needed. Viewing and visitation will take place on Friday January 27, 2023 at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home from 2pm-4pm. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
