Bryan L. Butera, “Hester”, 60, of Jamestown passed away Saturday January 14, at UPMC Chautauqua after a short illness.
He was born on June 10, 1962 in Jamestown, the son of Carl “The Fonz” and Elizabeth (Dunham) Butera.
He was a 1980 graduate of Jamestown High School and spent his entire working career in his hometown to be close to family.
Bryan had a special knack for fixing cars. He worked many jobs over the years at car dealerships, ambulance services, local police departments, and in his later years for his brother Jeff at Butera’s Towing. He was kind, thoughtful man who found motivation in helping people. He would often go above and beyond for his customers at the dealership or those in need.
He also enjoyed spending time snowmobiling, boating and four wheeling, as well as making so many treasured memories and laughs with his friends and family. Hester will be missed by family and friends.
Bryan is survived by his daughter Bryanna; his brothers, Danny and Jeff Butera, sisters Terri (Doug) Frantz, Jody Butera, and Shelly Butera (Chuck Lambert), nieces Ashley (Odessin) McBride, Nicole Pischera (Ron Wilson) and Elizabeth (Keenan) Hale, nephews, Noah Butera and Josh Pearson, great nieces Kylee Lindahl (Dalton), Alex Rivera, and Carsyn Hale, great nephews Odessin McBride Jr., Anthony Rivera and Josh Pearson, an aunt and uncle Leo and Eva Perino.
Arrangements entrusted to Hubert Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
