Obituary of Sara A Ecklund

Sara Ann Ecklund, 80, of Jamestown, passed away February 24, 2022 after a short illness. She was born October 20, 1941 in Jamestown, NY to Mathew and Ann Paterniti (Roselle) of Jamestown. Sara graduated from Jamestown High School in 1959. Sara attended cosmetology school and became a beautician for several years, and later a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn in Jamestown. She is survived by her son Mathew Ecklund of Jamestown, three grandchildren, Rachel Ecklund of Stockton, Mark Ecklund of Jamestown, and Derek Ecklund of Jamestown, as well as three great grandchildren, Ava, Carter, and Cory Schnars all of Stockton. She was preceded in death by her son Mark Ecklund, and her parents Mathew and Ann. A visitation will be held at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022 from 4-7pm.
