Obituary of Floris Dunn

Floris J. (Bly) Dunn went into the loving arms of her Lord on December 23, 2021. She was the daughter of the late James D. Bly and the late Mary L. Bly. Since the age of 11, she was a resident of Jamestown, NY. After graduating Jamestown High School in 1967, she proudly worked for Bigelow’s Department Store then Jamestown Metal Manufacturing Corp. where she met her husband. Married on June 29, 1979, they shared many wonderful years together. She was a graduate of Jamestown Business College in 1998 and most recently worked as a paraprofessional at Jamestown Public Schools. Volunteering was very important to Floris. In her lifetime, she was a Sunday school teacher, certified lay speaker at Buffalo St United Methodist Church, mentor through the Laubaugh Literacy Program and Chautauqua Striders. She was a host parent to exchange students and local coordinator for Angel Food Ministries. Floris is survived by her brother, Andy (Doris) Bly of Jamestown, her niece, Erica (Dudi) Fish of White Plains, NY and their children Gray (14) and Eli (13), her nephew, Ben (Alana) Hodge of Nanuet, NY and great nephew Milo (7). Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Kidder Church and Chautauqua Striders.
