Obituary of Joseph P Battaglia

Joseph P Battaglia, 39 of Jamestown passed away October 28, 2021 at his home. He was born December 17, 1981 in Rochester, NY a son of Gerard and Judith Monteau Gavigan. Joe worked for Winning Tree. He loved his job landscaping and the people he worked with. Joe was a man of great character. He had a big heart and would help anyone in need. He built a strong relationship with his fiancé Samantha and strong bonds with her 3 children. Joe enjoyed spending time outdoors. He had a great sense of direction he never needed a map. Joe collected rocks polishing them and looking for gem stones. He was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan. Joseph is survived by his parents, Judith and Gerard Gavigan, his siblings, Anthony J Battaglia and Michelle Koneski Hernandez, and his fiancé Samantha Buck and her three children, TJ, Arianna and Myla Davis. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joseph is preceded in death by his siblings, Eugene Koneski and Sandra Koneski, his grandparents, Pearl and Clifford Monteau and his pet Crazy Kitty. Also preceding Joseph in death are several aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 6, 2021 from 12p-3p at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
