Fernando Aldo Pintagro 72, 38 Fairfax Rd, Jamestown NY
Passed away in his home surrounded by his family on September 24, 2021. He was born February 13, 1949 in Termini Imerese, Sicly. Parents Antonino Pintagro and Rosina Palmeri Pintagro. Fernando came to live in Jamestown with his parents when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1968 and attended JCC earning his Associated degree. He was married to Valerie Pintagro on December 24, 2001.
He worked at Carborendum for many years retiring in 2010. While working he was involved with the Union and belonged to the VFW in Jamestown. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army.
Fernando enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends in Italy. For several years he and Valerie enjoyed wintering in Florida.
You could often find Fernando hanging out at the local McDonalds visiting with friends over a coffee, He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Fernando is survived by a sister Josephine Conti, Jamestown, a brother Angelo Pintagro, Sicily, two children Ramona (Tim) Tussing, Boise Idaho and a son Anthony Pintagro, Boise Idaho. Grandchildren: Noah (Larecia), Aleaha, Kyla Tussing, all of Boise, Kanisha Pintagro, Jamestown 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Fernando is predeceased by his mother, father, his wife Valerie, brother Giacomo, sister Concetta, brother-in-law Francesco Conti, and niece Letizia (Liz) Walden.
Calling hours will be Tuesday September 28th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral home.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm at Saint James Roman Catholic Church.
Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Jamestown NY.
Visitors are reminded to wear face coverings and practice social distancing while at the funeral home and in the church.
