Obituary of Barbara J Miller

Barbara J. Miller went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Barbara was born December 9, 1942 in Miami Florida to Robert and Zelma Miller. She last resided several years in Jamestown, NY with two of her sons (Antoine and Jeffrey) and many grand and great grandchildren. Barbara was also a long-time resident of Brooklyn NY where she and longtime partner Leroy Powell had seven children (Antoine, Lenell, Jeffrey, Scott, Ronald, Roy and Christopher Miller). Barbara was a homemaker and she loved her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, with plenty of delicious soul food. Barbara loved music and could sing with the angels. She always thought of others and was big on birthdays. She leaves behind, children; Antoine (Nicole) of Lakewood, NY; Jeffrey (Rachael) of Jamestown, NY; Scott of Bronx, NY and Roy of Bronx, NY; sister Carolyn of Jamaica Queens, NY; niece Angela of Brooklyn, NY; nephews: Lamont of Westchester County; Kevin of Brooklyn NY; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by parents, Zelma (Cullum)and Robert Miller; longtime partner, Leroy Powell; sister Francis Miller; children: Lenell, Ronald, and Christopher Miller. A memorial for Barbara will be held at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home on May 21, 2021. Services will be from 2:00-5:00 PM. Sermon will be performed, with great appreciation, by Pastor Gus Carpenter, with Perhaps Today Ministries.
