He was an ordained Spiritualist minister with a passion for good books and fine art, which he collected.
Terry Mara, along with his daughter as co-founder established the much-needed Transgender Support Group of Jamestown. Known to be supportive, enthusiastic, and sensitive in and outside of meetings. He was loved as a father and friend by many in the group.
A wonderful caretaker of animals, he was adopted by many strays. He kept a garden and loved riding motorcycles. Always with eclectic taste and interest in helping others, he very much enjoyed the Tarot and the conversations they brought.
