Julie was a 1978 graduate of Jamestown High School and completed her medical secretary studies at Jamestown Business College. She worked as a medical secretary for several years. Most recently she worked at the Chautauqua County Humane Society 2nd Chances Thrift Store and was also a caregiver to her husband.

Julie was preceded in death by her father, George LaMonica.
Julie was a talented musician and enjoyed singing and playing guitar in the folk group at St. James Roman Catholic Church. She had a strong faith in God and Catholicism. Julie was an Associate of the Felician Sisters, and relished in any opportunity to volunteer at Villa Maria Convent of Buffalo, NY - often assisting in the infirmary and the gift shop.
Julie loved animals and treasured her pets. She enjoyed baking and would make hundreds of traditional Italian cookies to share with family and friends each Christmas. Above all else, Julie adored her grandchildren and spent every moment she could spoiling them.
In her last days Julie was greatly comforted that, as a Registered Nurse, her daughter Melissa was able to bring her home and provide her with 24-hour superior care which enabled her to pass surrounded by her children and the ones she loved most.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at Hubert Funeral and Cremation Services from 4 - 7 pm with a wake held at 6:30. As per her wishes, Julie will be cremated and no burial will be observed.
